Medal features A.A.S.C. monogram with surrounding text in legend that reads, "AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS". Small gold swan attached to top of medal via two metal rings. Reverse features image of swimmers in water (one diving) and the legend inscription reads, "1 MILE F. BEAUREPAIRE VIC TIME 24 MIN 29 SECS.". Inscription on reverse of swan reads, "12/2/08".
