Gold medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for first place in a 440 Yards swim on 19th December, 1908. Obverse features a mermaid with text in the legend that reads "VICTORIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION". Reverse features V.A.S.A. monogram and inscription that reads "440 YARDS CHAMPIONSHIP / 19-12-08 / Time 5.55 ½ / WON BY / F.E. BEAUREPAIRE.". Decorative loop attachment at top.
