A ruff made with two rectangular pieces of ivory linen tafetta, joined by a French seam, with a square neckline with a partial opening on both the front and back. It has an embroidered decoration with red silk pearl stitching in the shoulder area, with a decorative band consisting of two herringbone rows of counterposed motifs in the shape of a lobed heart framed by spiral bouquets. Among these motifs are small embroidered eyelets and on the left shoulder, two small potences, one on the front and another on the back. This band is flanked by two narrow borders formed by a wavy line combined with motifs of an inclined "S". The neck is decorated with a branch of three-petalled flowers and hooked motifs made with a herringbone stitch. The piece's sides are closed with machine-sewn backstitching.
