Did you know that 95% of a gorilla’s DNA is the same as ours? Gorillas are the second most similar species to humans after chimpanzees. Gorillas are the biggest apes.

The basic structure of their body is the same as a human body. However, there are also major differences. For example, our brain is much more developed than a gorilla’s.

Gorillas are peaceful plant eaters which live in the tropical rainforests of Africa. As man penetrates further and further into their habitat, the gorilla has become one of the most endangered animal species.
