Goshen-style Projectile Point

U.S. Department of the Interior Museum Program

U.S. Department of the Interior Museum Program
Washington, D.C., United States

This Goshen-style projectile point (lanceolate with parallel to slightly convex or concave sides and concave bases) was a surface find at the Mill Iron site located on and managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Montana. The lower edges are straight, but curve gently to a sharp tip at the top with a concave bottom. There are multiple flakes scar remnants due to pressure flaking and basal indentation, which can be seen in the middle of the point and towards the tip.
