A Gothic gilded chalice with the Puttkammer coat of arms on its foot. The chalice consists of a wide, smooth cup, an octagonal stem with an oval-shaped knop and eight decorative buttons, situated at half height of the stem, and an octagonal foot decorated with the Crucifixion scene. The tiny scene is situated on one of the facets of the octagonal base.
It depicts the cross and the figures of Mary and St. John standing beneath. The adjacent facet of the foot features the Puttkammer coat of arms, i.e. the Rybogryf (Fish-griffin).
A liturgical vessel for celebrating the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
