Whitby is one of the settings for Bram Stoker's Gothic horror novel 'Dracula'. Twice-yearly the seaside town plays host to the Whitby Goth Weekend festival, which was founded in 1994. John Kippin's photograph shows two Goths looking out from the cliff top towards Whitby's historic harbour piers.
