Grain de Folie is the first ballet that Patrick Delcroix created for NDT 3. This piece for all four NDT III dancers evokes the world of the child which we retain within ourselves.

"I wanted to make a work with humour, a work in which the act or acting plays the central part. It was an interesting experience to work with NDT 3. Even though I had my own ideas and the structure was clear from the beginning, we build the ballet together. It’s a wonderful experience to get so much response from the dancers. They are such strong personalities. I think you need a certain amount of maturity to be able to express this subject. The starting point is the assumption that everyone has a some amount of childishness inside which he has to express in one way or another every now and then."
