In the Elbe-Weser Triangle, large Cemeteries from the Migration Period have been excavated. Clay vessels, richly decorated with bosses and known as Buckelurnen are typical for the region and have been discovered in many graves. It is remarkable that the same bossed urns also turned up as grave goods in England. This is the archaeological proof of the migration of early Saxons who emigrated to England 1 600 years ago.
