Unearthed in Yangzhou Institute of Agricultural Science in 1981, this pot has a rim tapering at the upper end with a flat upper surface, curved shoulders, a flat belly that slightly tapers in the lower part and a bottom with a convex interior. Its body is in the color of grey brown, half of which is covered with green glaze. On the shoulders there sits a pair of symmetrical knobs, embellished with beast-face motifs, while two prominent beast heads biting rings were placed in symmetry between the two knobs, which makes this pot a rare piece as most Han-dynasty pottery pots would have beast-head-biting-rings right below the knobs. The shoulder area is adorned with three parallel-line patterns alternating two wave-shaped lines.
