Greeting card

Some of the most clever greeting cards are get well cards. Often, these cheerful notes include some activity for the invalid, to help pass the time. An example from around the middle of the 20th century includes a printed board game with a circus theme. Playing it "a little while each day" shows "how quickly the time will pass away..."
