Provenance: Purchased by William T. Walters, Baltimore, before 1886 (?) ; inherited by Henry Walters, Baltimore, 1894; by bequest to Walters Art Museum, 1931.
George A. Lucas agenda for 30 March 1886 states that he had a version of "Levrette rapportant Lievre" cast by Montaignac from "WTWs [William T. Walters] and his models." This could imply that this bronze was in William T. Walters possession by 1886.
