Sonata for piano (C sharp minor) op.27 ("Moonlight Sonata")

When Ludwig van Beethoven dedicated this piece to his piano student Julia Guicciardi, it was not yet known as the "Moonlight Sonata". Nevertheless, Beethoven had many romantic associations with this piece. Beethoven had fallen in love like never before in his life - but since Julia came from a noble family, marriage was out of the question. Can this explain the violent outbursts of rage in the third movement?
