Géza Losonczy (1917-1957), a journalist, was Imre Nagy's minister of press affairs during the 1956 Revolution.

Together with Nagy and colleagues, he sought asylum in the Yugoslav Embassy in Budapest, before being handed over to the Soviets and transported to Romania.

Losonczy was returned to Budapest in 1957 and was scheduled to stand trial with Nagy and others, but died while on hunger strike in prison. The circumstances of his death remain unclear.

Buried in an unmarked grave at Plot 301 in Budapest's New Public Cemetery and publicly reburied on 16 June 1989.
