Portrait of His Excellency Lieutenant General Juan Zubía y Bassecourt, Director General of the Civil Guard from December 6, 1918 to March 27, 1925. He was named Honorary Colonel of the corps in 1922. During his directorship, he greatly increased the number of personnel, as well as units and commands, including the Madrid Mobile Unit (Tercio Móvil).
