Intersection I-2 of the ISR during the installation of experiments. On the left of the crossing region can be seen the massive iron plate structure of the muon detector being used by a British collaboration in a search for the intermediate vector boson. The magnet and hodoscopes on the right are part of the spectrometer arm of the British-Scandinavian Collaboration and the magnets of a second spectrometer being used by the Argonne-Bologna-Michigan Collaboration can be seen in the background.
