Close to the Bille, a rivulet near Hamburg-Boberg, there was a pottery workshop 700 years ago, where clay vessels for everyday use like jars, jugs, cups, and much more were produced. When something went wrong during firing, sometimes strangely misshapen vessels emerged. As a matter of course, the potters simply discarded such unsaleable waster pottery right away.
