Where the Heidlohstrasse runs today, a barrow was built in the Bronze Age. After more than 2 000 years, Saxons used this burial mound, which they presumably regarded as hallowed ground, as a burial place once again: They burrowed urns into the barrow, amongst which this small clay vessel, which possibly contained a child’s remains.
