Released beginning in 1982 by TOMY, the Tomytronic 3-D series of handhelds became the first dedicated home video games to feature three-dimensional graphical effects. These effects were created using two LCD screens that received light via a window on the top of the game. TOMY released a total of seven 3-D games, including Shark Attack, Jungle Fighter, and Sky Attack.
