Hanukkah lamp

The Hanukkah lamp is a candelabrum with eight receptacles for oil or candles and one more, the ninth, called Shammash, used to light the others. It commemorates the miracle that happened in the Temple of Jerusalem looted by the Greeks. With enough oil to burn for just one day, it kept buring for eight days. It is used to celebrate the Hanukkah festival. Lent in memory of Antonietta T. Feffer and Leon Feffer.
Metal object with eight arms decorated with phytomorphic and arabesque motifs, each with a nozzle and a wax pan for a candle. Central stem decorated with spiral segments, smooth rings and buds, phytomorphic motifs. Base with two smooth spheres with a horizontal frieze, the upper one with six pine cones, and semi-sphere ornamented with phytomorphic motifs and three lion-shaped feet.
