Head Band

This is a headband worn by a mother of a circumcised girl or boy. The black feather signifies the circumcision of a girl. It is only worn during the circumcision until graduation after which the mother gives it to the daughter or son. The daughter and son wears it for one month before the mother takes it back again to await the next child.
