Head of a woman

This figure of a young woman with delicate features and thin, well-shaped lips wears a stylized coiffeur with wavy locks, which are braided at the top and encircled by a plain band fillet (narrow ornamental strip of material for a woman’s hair). Similar figures have been discovered in Ostia.
