Text: "Max 1 was created by Massimo Vignelli to meet the multipurpose needs of today. It is a completely new concept in melamine design. It is stackable, exceedingly durable and dishwater proof. In Italy, the service won a Compasso d'Oro award for good design. It was included in the Plastic as Plastic show sponsored by the Smithsonian Insitution, Washington, D.C., Italy: The New Domestic Landscape, the Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague, Czechoslovakia. Max 1 is represented in the Design Collection of The Museum of Modern Art, New York."
