These Highland bar brogues were made in 1910. They are made of leather and fasten with a brass buckle. The brogues have a round toe and slight heel. The toe and sides of the shoe is ornamented with a swirling pinpoint design. The buckle is decorated with a raised floral motif.

Provenance: This object is a part of the Cordwainer College Collection held in the London College of Fashion’s Archives. The collection contains over 600 items of footwear, all of which were collected as teaching and learning aids over the life time of the Cordwainers College. The Collection covers the period from c1670 to 1990s. It consists of Western male and female footwear, examples of non-Western footwear, juvenile and orthopaedic pieces, and includes prototype, prize and exhibition footwear, lasts and tools. A number of pieces are unfinished or cut to show technical details, or show alterations or repairs.
