Vertical, rectangular piece made by joining various fragments together. The top and bottom edges are frayed. On a gold background with a gold silk warp and braided metallic thread weft on gold silk, woven with 4e1 twill, a paisley design emerges in horizontal lines and wefts of colors, developing into strips in varying directions, in line with Chinese influence. This design motif became very popular in Europe in the 19th century and was woven, embroidered or printed for cashmere shawls.
