An orange semicircle on a dark background of a beggar man in pink and brown.
The man, like most of his figures, doesn’t belongs to our modern reality. He's in profile but his face is looking to some point between us and the serigraphy space. He is surrounding by a bright red halo in contrast with the dark red background. It is interesting that the main focus of this serigraphy is not in the center, instead is on the right down corner.
Rafael Coronel develops an art work based on the portrait of religious characters like monks and representations of death. He creates fantastic worlds with simple even empty background which emphasize the characters. Coronel was also a mask collector, objects that are recurrent in his work.
