Residential buildings have always been regarded as the refuge of the human body and spirit. However, with the high-density and high-speed development of modern cities, the ‘refuge of spirit’ has become the ‘living machine’ to some extent. It replaces the natural landscape and becomes the new ‘urban landscape.’ This disaster of modern society reflects in many aspects, including that residential building forms are uniform and lack innovation, residential buildings ignore urban context, residential buildings lack contribution to the city's future, and the living environment is separated from the natural landscape. The aim of Housing Pasimology 4.0 is to regain the important role of residential architecture as a physical and spiritual refuge for people and to solve various problems under the residential building crisis in modern society. It will contribute to improving urban life and providing a more sustainable and comfortable urban future.
