Hunting sword

A charging boar could inflict serious damage to a hunter, so hunting swords had broad, robust blades to prevent them from snapping on impact and exposing the hunter to sharp tusks. This blade is etched with scenes showing boar and wolf hunts while the grip is sheathed in horn. The silver encrustation depicts two charging boar.
