The Upper Begampet road heading forward in a horizontal manner and the areas to the south of it is visible on the map. Begampet is a major suburb located to the north of the Hussain Sagar Lake. The place got the name from the Bashir-ul-Unnisa Begum, daughter of the Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah II. The place was given to her as a part of the dowry in her marriage with Shams -ul- Umra Amir-i-Kabir belonged to Paigah family. And the areas to the south of the road are rocky and barren in nature, only a large Toddy Palm field namely Send Ban, and stepwells around, are only visible. Stepwells were developed mainly for the storage purpose especially in the arid regions like Deccan. It was easy for the people to get the access as well as manage the groundwater than with big well and tank.
