Leonardian Library Leonardo's codex (fac-simile)

Museo Leonardiano di Vinci

Museo Leonardiano di Vinci
Vinci, Italy

Inaugurated in 1928 and transferred in 1983 to its current location, the Leonardian Library is an international documentation center specialized in the work of Leonardo da Vinci. Today the Library conserves some 13,000 works, including facsimile reproductions of Leonardo’s manuscripts and drawings and all his printed works, beginning from the first edition of the Treatise on Painting published in 1651.

Among the tools conceived and promoted by the Leonardian Library are the BIL (the International Leonardian Bibliography), thanks to which you can find all bibliographical resources on Leonardo, and the eLeo portal, an online digital archive where you can consult over 6000 pages of Leonardo’s manuscripts and drawings.
