Iberian Votive Offering

4th-3th century BC

Museo Juan Cabré

Museo Juan Cabré
Calaceite, Spain

Praying female figure with a miter. It has a well-defined and carefully crafted face with a stern expression. The piece is beautifully made. She holds an unidentifiable item in the fingers of the left hand. The lifted right arm supports the folded end of her tunic, and probably used to hold a little bowl containing other offerings.
