Museo Lázaro Galdiano
Madrid, Spain

At the beginning of the volume, with text written in enforceable letter in black ink and red ruled, there are three full-page miniatures worthy of artistic merit and an iconographic interest, and the coat of arms of the applicant. The scenes, which refer to the purity of blood and noble status of the applicant, occupy the entire sheet and represent Christ crucified on Calvary, the Immaculate tota pulchra, which derives from the woman of Revelation clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head, and the Apostle James in the Battle of Clavijo. The painter who signs as the author of the paintings is Diego Gómez, who belongs to Francisco Pacheco's sevillian circle.
