Impatiens Balsamina (凤仙花) was painted in 1959 by Wu Fuzhi. The leaves are rendered in mineral green, with embellishment of impatiens balsamina in various shades of red colors. The strokes are in style of Chinese calligraphy and inscription, which seem sophisticated and penetrating. The whole plant was vividly created in exuberance, reflecting Wu’s excellence in observation and creation.
