Description: From the beginning of his career, at the end of the fifties, Claudio Olivieri shunned every schemata, in a continuous pursuit of a language all his own. At the beginning of the next decade, Olivieri took a new step toward perfecting his pictorial language. The extreme synthesis of transparency and luminosity reached in the works of the early years of the fifties is still present in the later works. The upward motion of the previous works is also still present, but it seems less constrained by lines or other signs that set up the axis of the composition. The color, sumptuous reds that decline into orange, is the protagonist and is a tool for the perception of reality. Currently not on display.
