In The Morning

Artist's Statement: "This piece is titled “In The Morning� and it was inspired by a number of events. This piece was inspired by my growth as an artist being compared to the growth of a butterfly. When I created this piece I was getting ready for my first art showing in a public place where as in times past I would show my art in my front yard. The tea cup effect is my favorite thing about this piece. The tea cup was a reminder of how I get ready to create. Every morning to get my mind in the process of creating I have a cup of tea, or even if I can’t create I have a cup of tea with my daughter to spark some form of inspiration. This is also a mixed media piece. The butterflies can actually be touched."
