In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the external tank for space shuttle Endeavour's STS-130 mission, ET-134, is prepared for transfer from its test cell to High Bay-1 for mating with the twin solid rocket boosters that will be used on the mission.
Endeavour's move, or "rollover," from Orbiter Processing Facility-2 is targeted for Dec. 12. The Tranquility module, the payload for the STS-130 mission to the International Space Station, will be installed in the payload bay after the shuttle has reached the pad. Endeavour's launch is targeted for Feb. 4, 2010. For information on the STS-130 mission and crew, visit http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts130/index.html.
