This censer belongs to the Venetian objects owned by the monastery. The main body is shaped as a boat of Renaissance type, with an elevated central section. One side of the lid opens with the aid of a hinge and ends in a handle that has the form of the bust of a female figure with an impressive coiffure. A similar figure adorns the other side of the vessel. Its body is covered with repousse compositions of fantastic animals with bodies in the form of plants, and the lid is decorated with palmettes. On the tall foot are heads of angels and acanthus leaves on the stem. The decoration is completed by relief and cast angels, the lion of Saint Mark and cast masks. This censer of Patmos is obviously a very elaborate and masterfully made precious object of Venetian provenance -it bears a Venetian stamp- dated at the end of the 16th or the beginning of the 17th century.
