These information signs were an important part of the mining regulations of every mining company: "Passenger transportation prohibited", "Helmet with face visor mandatory", "Gloves for chemical substance handling required", "Pedestrians please move to the right side", "Pedestrians please move to the left side", "Absolute smoking ban", "No passage for locomotives", "Hearing protection mandatory at this location", "Protective goggles must be worn", "Drivers must follow hitcher's instructions", the hitcher being the miner responsible for controlling the hoist and "Men hoisting prohibited".
