Memorial inscription of the foundation of Al-Mariyya. Although only fragments of the plaque have survived to this day, it is most interesting as the only epigraphic testimony that makes reference to the official constructions. Unfortunately, it is unknown from which building comes from. It was built to mark the foundation of the city of Almeria by order of the caliph Abd al-Rahnman III. His name and title are displayed in the epigraph, as well as that of Ibn Rumahis, the person in charge of its execution, who was the first governor of the city and caliphal fleet admiral.
