Intersection I6 at the ISR

Intersection region I-6 where elastic scattering measurements were being carried out. The small angle measurements were carried out by a CERN, Rome team and a ' Roman pot ', which had counters within the machine vacuum, can be seen at the bottom of the photograph 126.9.71 on the beam pipe on the right. Detectors for the wider angle measurements of the Aachen, CERN, Genoa, Harvard, Turin collaboration branch off to the right.
