A Zulu front/ pregnancy apron worn by a young married woman. It consists of a piece of fabric which has a heavily beaded bottom panel. It can also have plastic beads and metal buttons. A young bride wears Isicwayo during her wedding ceremony. She then keeps the apron for her first pregnancy. After the birth of her first child, she then removes all beads from the apron and continues to wear it for all following pregnancies
