The photo-submitter, Ya'akov Ditkovski, who was born in 1939 in Mir, Poland, immigrated to Israel
on a illegal immigrant ship in 1946. He built this memorial in memory of all the following family members: His mother, Sara Perl and his sisters Pasha, Haya and Rivka, who were murdered in 1942. His father, who perished as a partisan in the woods. His mother's brothers, Zelig and Mendel, and her sister, Raizel, who perished in the Holocaust. His father's brothers and sisters Reuven, Hirshel, David, Marka, Rachel and Kuni Ditkovski, also perished in the Holocaust.
