Italian girl

Josep Tapiró i Baró (1836-1913) Colleague and friend of Marià Fortuny, he was trained in his city of birth and later in Barcelona and Madrid. Later he lived in Rome for a long period of time. He accompanied Fortuny on a trip to Morocco, a country that seduced him into moving there in 1874. His work has been recognised with awards in national and international competitions and is displayed in great museums and public and private collections all over the world.
