Gold medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for first place in the 440 Yards swim at the A.A.S.C., 19th February, 1908. Medal features A.A.S.C. monogram with surrounding text in legend that reads, "AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS". Small gold swan attached to top of medal via two metal rings. Reverse features image of swimmers in water (one diving) and the legend inscription reads, "440 YARDS F. BEAUREPAIRE VIC TIME 5 MIN 28 2/5 SECS.". Inscription on reverse of swan reads, "19/2/08".
