Iziqhaza / Eearplugs

A set of Zulu earplugs with vinyl cuttings nailed to the wood with gramophone needles to make the tribal patterns, accentuated with pins. The parttens reflect the region from which the owner or maker comes from and in more specific instances, their clan. Earplugs are unisex accessory, the more elaborate ones are for ardonment at ceremonies and festivals.
