This finely engraved view shows the architect James Paine's intended design of the Temple of Diana in a sectional perspective. On the left is the south-facing orangery, whilst to the right is the north-facing circular tea room with what Paine described in the accompanying text as 'an exceeding fine bedchamber' above. It is interesting to note the construction of the roofs above the spaces and the decoration that Paine envisaged for the spaces below, with statues occupying the internal niches.
