Japanese doll with composition face, hands, and feet. Dressed in black and gray kimono with embroidery and brocaded obi. Hair dress is elaborate with plastic flowers and indicate it is a bride. Mounted on a wooden board. Presented to Eleanor Roosevelt in 1953 in Japan by the New Japan Broadcasting Co. Ltd., the Meiji Mutual Life Insurance Co. and Mrs. Keiko Tokonami, President of Holy Friend Home (Seiyu Home), Asagaya, Suginamiku, Tokyo. FDR Library Museum Collection, MO 1955.76.
