Dominion horticulturalist W.T. Macoun, employed by the CEF between 1888 until his sudden death in 1933, had a major impact on the development of the CEF’s Arboretum and Ornamental Gardens. Under his direction, the gardens were moved to a dedicated space, and significantly expanded.
