One of the distinctive features of Porcelanas Bidasoa was its depiction of naval and maritime scenes. This vase was designed by Manuel Benedito (Valencia, 1875 - Madrid, 1963), the factory's artistic director. Some of his works were reproduced by artists from the factory and inglaze painted by hand.

This is a moulded vase with a stem base attached to the body by a screw with an iron butterfly nut. The body is in a truncated cone shape with mouldings leading to the neck and mouth, also moulded. The facing handles in the upper part of the body are designed to mimic shells in relief. It is coated in a transparent glaze.

The body has been decorated by hand in cobalt blue. The maritime scene depicts various sailing ships. On the foot and neck there are garlands of plant motifs and various fillets highlighting the different parts of the piece. The base is stamped "BIDASOA" in black, in a blue laurel wreath.

Dimensions: Vase: Height: 41 cm. Diameter of base: 19. Diameter of mouth: 11.
Lid: Height: 15 cm. Maximum diameter: 11 cm.
