The National Jazz Museum in Harlem's "Jazz Is..." outreach initiative from the "Jazz Is... Young Artists Speak Series" captures responses from young jazz artists who represent diverse backgrounds, particularly from underrepresented groups such as Black communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and communities of color. This series is hosted by Alfredo Colon, Claire Dickson, Matt Malanowski, and Imani Williams.
This project is supported by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and the New York City Coalition of Theaters of Color (CTC).
